On my Dell Inspiron 5558 laptop I’ve never experienced an issue with any network manager; I’ve been using Connman and I see that Connman invokes the wpa_supplicant.
However, on my Lenovo X201 laptop I started having issues with Connman and cmst; I replaced it with Ceni; on this system it’s slow, but it works reliably once it’s active.

            Hello all,
I am a long time user of the excellent brother distro, MX21. Recently, I installed another SSD into my PC and thought antix would be a good distro to place on that SSD and ultimately have a triple boot system (W7, MX21 & Antix). When I tried to install Antix it succeeded however, the wifi dongle I have been using, an Realtek driver just could not be found. I then tried on that SSD, MX to see why the driver couldn’t be found (I actually burnt a backup image from MX through MXLiveUSB). Unfortunately, same problem, no wifi seen.
I then tried other distros (everything really from Sparky to Ubuntu and all with the same problem. A solution has been arrived at and I would encourage anyone with the same issue to visit this link https://forum.mxlinux.org/viewtopic.php?p=722028#p722028 where Tim has provided the answer to the problem. It seems that some perhaps even most, Kernels don’t come precompiled with some of these Realtek drivers and Tim’s assistance has overcome the issue. I am new to the Antix forum and this is my first post but I thought it might help others notwithstanding the benefits of the video here posted (which I have not reviewed).

Hallo antique23, welcome and thank you for realtek pointer.Should be useful
              in future.

Small tip, if a thread is old, it is generaly better to make a new post.
Good also to include the antiX version you are using.

Thanks Xunzi, Sorry about not posting it in a new thread, just my haste to contribute to an excellent distro and forum I should think.
I am running the beta version i.e., antix 6.1.18. It seems to be working a treat and it’s so snappy and low resource hungry which all is excellent.
