      Dear users,

If you are using a computer with several screens, you will have strange reactions with the ” WINGRID ” keyboard shortcuts.

Please click on the screenshot and zoom out. This is a very large screenshot as there are 2 screens. The keyboard shortcuts (Ctrl+1) and (Ctrl+2) of Wingrid do not match the description in the Wiki.

Another example, with Wingrid, it is not possible to have 2 vertical windows on screen 1 and have 2 vertical windows on screen 2.

That’s why I gave the antiX community other keyboard shortcuts for IceWM, Fluxbox and JWM using the keys (Windows logo + an arrow).

      Best regards,
      Wallon

        Dear Users,

Here is another example with the key shortcut “Ctrl+Shift+KP_Begin” wingrid-center.sh # 5-Center window.

Normally the Geany window should be in the centre of screen 1 or in the centre of screen 2.
Here, one half of the Geany window is on screen 1 and the other half of the window is on screen 2.

The Geany window is in the centre of both screens!

Please click on the screenshot as it is very large. Then zoom in on the screenshot.

        Best regards,
        Wallon

@Wallon – from your screenshots I can see your problem… In my opinion it’s not that Wingrid is compatible with a multi-screen system, but rather it, in you current screen configuration, treats both monitores as a single “giant” one… and simply acts acordingly.
As you noticed, IceWM’s titling feature is a better fit for the way you use your monitors… At least you found a “work around” wingrid’s “problem”.

          P.
