I am having problems with the wifi on my Dell Latitude D620 laptop running antiX 21.
I have always used a cable with it, but I would like to also have the wireless working.
Conman is showing the wireless as connected.
The internet is extremely slow and times out on most sites. It will open antiX forum site after a 30 sec wait. It will not open gmail or news sites. With a cable, sites open in 2 to 5 seconds.Below is the inxi -F:

::@Anticapitalista and @DEVELOPMENT STAFF
Dear,
this is the 4th time that I find this issue connected with b43 wifi (there is another identical post in MX linux forum).
My guess is that this problem is connected with Antix 21, in fact with 17 and 19 I didn’t noticed it.
I suggest that may be this is a topic that you can solve in the next release.
Many thx in advance for your job and this fantastic distro.January 19, 2022 at 9:36 am #75524Forum Admin

::Just to clarify – is this issue only with the 4.9 kernel on antiX-21 or the 4.9 and 5.10?
Also, is it an issue running live, installed or both?Philosophers have interpreted the world in many ways; the point is to change it.
antiX with runit - leaner and meaner.

::BTW are you sure it is
sudo rfkill unlock -all?Philosophers have interpreted the world in many ways; the point is to change it.

::In my case, for sure it is 4,9 kernel
According to my experiments, the live doesnt work at all. After installation it works, very very slowly.I’ve just done a try with the 5,10 kernel and on my acer extensa 5620z the prob is the same: I don’t even see the my wifi lan.
As far as “sudo rfkill unlock -all”, it is what worked for me (and I don’t know, only suppose, what it means)
I made a collage of the various solutions on the various forums – mainly those of ubuntu- and this is the sequence that I have seen work
At the moment for me is difficult to produce an inxi output. In case you need it, in 3h i’ll do for you
Thx for your attention

::Yes, you are right.
It was a typo of mine re-writing the above mentioned command in my notes.
I apologizeJanuary 19, 2022 at 11:15 am #75529Forum Admin
