      I have never had much success using the included burning tools in antiX probably due to my ancient rig. So many years ago I started using
      wodim – write data to optical disk media

      I realize that usb drives are the preferred option, but for those of us who are still running old hardware, and want to use the cl to burn an iso to a cd or dvd then wodim fits the bill.

      It is used from the command line, aka terminal
      To gather info I use:

      $ wodim -inq
      Device was not specified. Trying to find an appropriate drive...
      Detected CD-R drive: /dev/sr0
      Using /dev/cdrom of unknown capabilities
      Device type    : Removable CD-ROM
      Version        : 5
      Response Format: 2
      Capabilities   :
      Vendor_info    : 'MATSHITA'
      Identification : 'DVD-R   UJ-85J  '
      Revision       : 'FCQ5'
      Device seems to be: Generic mmc2 DVD-R/DVD-RW.

      to gather more info:

      $ wodim -prcap
      Device was not specified. Trying to find an appropriate drive...
      Detected CD-R drive: /dev/sr0
      Using /dev/cdrom of unknown capabilities

      To burn an iso i use the following command for example

      wodim -sao speed=0 antix-m8.5.iso

      which translates to write data to optical disk, using sao (session at once) speed=0 (highest speed capable of) and finally the name of the iso file I am using to burn the cd, or dvd. You must of course open your terminal in the folder where your iso file resides.
      Also you can burn audio and a variety of other formats.
      you can find all options per command line(terminal)

      with

      wodim --help

      and
      wodim dev=help

      cheers,
