I am trying out the latest 64 bit antix on a Panasonic toughbook with a touch screen and need xinput-calibration utility to get it to work correctly. I cannot find it in the repo’s. Is it available and will it work with a window manager as opposed to something like xfce which is my normal desktop.
Thanks in anticipation.April 13, 2022 at 5:53 pm #81248Moderator

::I have now installed the calibrator and gone through he process of calibrating the screen but it is not working and the touch is way off. The calibration works fine in MX linux but not here in antix. Any ideas to fix this please.

::Thanks for the link but it was no help. I am familiar with the process of calibrating this screen as Ive done it with several other distros, I do tend to distro hop, but it just doesn’t work for antix. I’m stuck now.

::@terrybull – think out side the box. Why not search for “xinput-calibrator alternative” on-line? I found some alternatives using duckduckgo… Some may work for you, on antiX. Try them out and please share the results here, so future users know how to solve that problem (or what does not work)

Sorry, I do not have much insight into touchscreens on antiX. But would guess “doesn’t work for antiX” isn’t enough information anyway.
Please install xinput and please post the outcome of
xinput list
and also the outcome of xinput-calibrator
and what you exactly did. -
