FWIW. I just published this tutorial on my site. Perhaps it will help make the world a ‘prettier place’. Enjoy!

Hello,
Thanks Manyroads for the link.“For every complex problem there is an answer that is clear, simple, and wrong.” H. L. Mencken

Pax vobiscum,Thanks much for these enhancements, although they seem to require compositors, such as Picom, as long as these enhancements do not have a heavy toll on memory I would like to try to implement…
In general I would think aesthetically enhanced terminals could be an asset to any distro…By the way, your DWM bar is amazing in the included picture….

::Hi all… thanks for the kind words & thoughts. I, don’t use compositors. But I tested xcompmgr & it works nice with URxvt if you want opacity. I have mostly been playing with archlabs/arch these days. I have been running dwm and i3wm as my desktops from a single user space.

Thank you andyprough… I realize that it is not as simple as just incorporating the config.h from Manyroads’ site, after which I do get measurements but labels are just two small rectangles… I understand labels must be created as well, such as shown in video of LinuxDabbler, which you recommended recently…

::olsztyn if you install nerd-fonts the little boxes will become glyphs (images). That’s the magic…. 😉 You can probably also use font awesome. If you get the correct font installed there should be nothing else required.
If you want more help & prefer to chat… let me know and we can Skype. I assume you are from Olsztyn. A young man I mentor from Elbląg and I do that freely via Skype. Just let me know.

::Olsztyn, Yes, it should simply be a matter of getting the right font set installed.
btw. My mom went to high school when Elbląg was Elbing (the late 1930s). My Onkel Robert used to have a Gasthaus there (back in the 1910s to 1940s).
You might enjoy these… https://www.many-roads.com/imagegalleries/elbing-elblag/
btw. my opa (grandfather) fought on the Russian Front near Osztyn (Allenstein) in WW1. Be well. Let me know if you run into any problems. Best way is to email me (linux@eirenicon.org).

Great history… Thanks for sharing. Elblag is being meticulously restored to the original look. Beautiful downtown. Perhaps your Onkel’s Gasthaus will be restored too…
That region has great long history: Poland/Pruss – about 1000 AD, then State of Teutonic Knights – invited by duke Konrad to Poland in 1226 AD, Then in 1525 treaty back to Poland, and including all Baltics. Much later Ost Preussen. Back to Poland – 1945.btw. my opa (grandfather) fought on the Russian Front near Osztyn (Allenstein) in WW1.
Then you must be familiar with the famous song from that WW1 Russian front:

::Yes my Onkel’s Gasthaus has been restored (sort of) although the whole street is back further from the river than it was when my mom lived with her Onkel & Tante. on 58 Wasserstraße now- 58 Ul. Wodna. As for WW1, my opa and his brothers had a busy and horrible WW1. (3 died) My opa not only fought on the Eastern Front but also in Verdun.
