I cannot locate a version of “ZOOM” conferencing software that will install on my computer. I’m running on an Acer Aspire One netbook. Any ideas?

It is available via the Package installer application (antiX-19.2) under Messaging

antiX with runit - leaner and meaner.

I only have 3 applications under “messages” in the package installer, but ZOOM isn’t one of them… Do I need an update of some kind?

Trying to fix image (hope filter doesn’t attack me ;( )

In the package installer (for antiX 19, x64 bits)

If you cannot see it, first update the packages
sudo apt update && sudo apt dist-upgrade

If you still cannot see it, use the Zoom instructions.

If you told us what version of antiX, we could help more.
Latest version of package installer has zoom (you probably need to dist-upgrade.

Quick question. Is applications installed by Package Installer and/or Synaptic Package Manager supposed to have a menu item automatically created inside the “Start Menu”? Based on my very limited sample size, Chromium does, Zoom does not. Is that expected?

Chromeium build instructions are probably more detailed than Zoom. Would be my guess. What I usually do when I run into that.
                      I just do a

                      sudo updatedb

                      after installing a application.

                      Then

                      locate zoom

to find a menu entry to copy.Add it personal or some other place by hand by me. I never try refresh menu in the menu selection.
                      Just habit is all.

Thanks for this “locate” trick! I do not such command before.

PS: This forum does not support “Like” or “Thumbs Up” feature. But this time I have to reply back a “noise” message to show my appreciation. 🙂
